Linux Training

What is Linux?

Linux Linux is derivation of the UNIX operating system.  Desktop Linux systems have several easy to use windows managers such as KDE and Gnome, office suites such as OpenOffice, business software such as gnuCash, web browsers such as FireFox, mail readers such as Thunderbird and calendar systems such as Sunbird.

Linux Servers can be configured as firewalls, routers, authentication servers, web servers, mail gateways, file shares and printer spoolers using virtual systems and trusted operating systems. The administration of Linux systems has evolved from command line tools and configuration files, to easy to use GUI system configuration tools, to web management tools.
